Police Efforts Spurred
Investigation of the Rauwaro Mystery
SUDDEN CHANGE IN SEARCH PLANS Per Press Association. • AUCKLAND, Last Night. A sudden change occurred in the investigation of the Buawaro mystery to-day, when the police searchers decided to continue their search to-night. They were very reticent, but it is understood they have recovered another article, which may eventually disclose the whereabouts of tho missing shotgun owned by Samuel Pender Lakey, who disappeared from his farm when his wife, Mrs. Christobcl Lakey, met her mysterious death. A striking aspect of the case is that the police have discontinued the search, for the time being at least, of a heap of burning slack at tho Renown mine, Ruawaro, where an extensive investigation was made on Saturday. No attention was paid to the coal to-day.
