Norma Shearer is probably the screen s most exquisite star, and without d° u oL one of the pictures that helped her to fame is “Let Us Be Gay,” screening at the Renown to-night and to-morrow. This comedy-drama has drawn big houses wherever screened and ranks without doubt among the best pictures of the year. The story deals with a married couple, one of whom Is bright and gay and full of fun and laughter. The other does not understand. The outcome a divorce. Three years later in Pans the couple are again brought together in the most unexpected way, and a series of complications and misunderstandings make a merry mix up that can only be appreciated by seeing this delightful film. Marie Dressier, as the wealthy elderly lady, plays a wonderful part and adds laurels to her fame, while Rod La Roque and Gilbert Emery make ideal husbands and lovers. Without a doubt Shannon picture patrons have a treat in stole.
