Mr Tennont then discovered his loss, informing tho police; but meantime the man had gone to Gilbert’s shop in the next block, adopting cimiln.r tactics and securing a £27 ring from a lady assistant, who later followed and identified him in an hotel bar, as also did Mr Tennant.
