“CALL HER SAVAGE." Clara Bow, dynamic, flame-haired siren of the screen, erstwhile “It’* girl and one-time “Queen of the Flappers," emerged a fully matured emotional actress in “Call Her Savage,” first of her Fox starring pictures which opened yesterday at the Tivoli Theatre With none of the hip-tossing, hair-wav-ing hoydenisms that characterised her earlier pictures, she reveals an entirely new personality in a vivid portrayal that takes her from wild, carefree days on a Texas ranch to the gay spots of Hew York night life; from hectic hours with a worthless husband to the dire necessity of providing for a sick baby when she is penniless, unknown, wandering the streets of Hew Orleans. From girlhood to motherhood, from woalth to poverty, and back again, Clara convincingly portrays every emotion in this gorgeously-gowned, superbly mounted production that must be hailed the one great triumph of her career. Others are now bound to come. Gilbert Boland heads the all-featured supporting cast, which also includes Thelma Todd, Monroe Owsley, Estelle Taylor, Willard Eobertson, Anthony Jowitt and Weldon Heybum. A matinee will bo held to-morrow afternoon at 2 p.m.
