A Brilliant Pageant
Palmerston North will have the opportunity of seeing and hearing the large party of Maoris who are travelling New Zealand on behalf of the Methodist Maori Missions when a splendid pageant of vocal and instrumental music will be rendered in the Opera House on Monday next, September 4. There will he 19 in the combined parties and they include tlr Dominion’s most popular Maori singers. Thero are representatives from all over the Dominion and the ability of the Maori to paint pictures of vivid life or pathos will be brilliantly shown. AVhen they appeared in Wellington recently, the Town Hall was crowded and the newspapers declared that the audience “was treated to fare comparable with the best that has been given in tho city.” Tho programme sets forth in music, action and song “The Maori of A'cstcrday, the Maori of To-day, the Maori of To-morrow.” A full hall is expected and seats should be reserved at the Central Booking Office. Popular prices are being charged, 3/6 and 3/-.
