Mail Pilot’s Pluck
FIRE MASTERED AND SAFE LANDING MADE.

When a fire occurred at midnight on tho Marseilles mail plane, tho pilot ordered the wireless operator to jump with a parachute, with which he safely accomplished a landing on the banks of the River Loire, despite the darkness. The pilot meanwhile mastered the flames, and, deapito damage to one of tho three engines, descended safely to the Lyons aerodrome.
