.From Our Own Correspondent. Tho Bunnythorpe Women’s Institute will celebrate its third birthday this weelc with a social and dance. First-class talent has been secured and an excellent programme of musical and other 'items will bo presented. The . executive committee ,of tile newly formed Debating Club has proceeded apace With the arrangements If or the control of the club. A meeting of the club will be.held early in September for the consideration of the committee’s preparations. On that occasion several speakers from the Y.M.C.A. Club will be present and the subject for debate-will be “Free Trade versus Protection.” . . •In the’competition Rugby match played at Bunnythorpe on Saturday the Bunnythorpo juniors- defeated Fellding Old Boys by 'l7 points to G. In the first spell L. Parker opened the visitors’ score by kicking a goal from a mark. The home team’s account had reached 11, W. Powell having secured two tries (one of which was converted by J. Powell), and W. Sutherland one. In the second spell J. Powell converted two penalties from well out for the home side, while Edgehouse crossed the line for the visitors. The game was controlled by Mr. G. Duthio.

In the early hours of Monday the residence of Mrs. A. Emeny was completely destroyed by fire. The fire was first noticed at about 2.30 n.m. and it then had a good hold. Nothing was saved.
