New Jersey Sire For the Manawatu

WELL-BRED BULL PROM THE WAIKATO Mr A. Montgomerie, of Kauwhatu, a well-known Jersey breeder, has just completed the purchase through Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., of an outstanding Jersey bull. The bull in question is Beeehlands Royal Blag, born on July 30, 1032, and bred by the well-known Waikato breeders, Messrs A. Moreland and Sons, To Rapa. It was the intention of the breeders of: this outstanding young bull to retain Beeehlands Royal Blag for their own herd, but they finally decided, as they were keeping a bull from his half-sis-ter, to allow him to go under new ownership. Beeehlands Royal Blag i't by the imported champion bull, Fairy Mag’s Raleigh, while his dam is *< magnificent breeding cow in Beechlands Fawn Beauty. This cow comes from a famous producing' and show family, and she is the dam of Beechlands Dark Eyes, a young V.H.C. cow' purchased at the dispersal sole of the Beeehlands herd Inst month by Mr H. J*. Lancaster, of Glen Oroua, at 160 guineas. In securing Beeehlands Royal Blag for his Manawatu herd, Mr Montgomerie has secured a bull not only of outstanding merit to himself but bred, from the best cattle in the Beeehlands herd and sired by an imported bull who is proving himself an outstanding sire of both type and production.
