Mount Richards Road

On Saturday night of last week the Mount Richards Road ping pong team journeyed to Apiti to play Apiti, the local team winning the contest by a margin of 16 in tho A team and of 15 for the .b team. A team: L. -Duffy, Miss A. Roberts, Miss E. Duffy, Aliss B. Wingate, b. Roberts,. B team: J. AVingate, J. Steavehs. -A. Roberts, Aliss R. Duffy, L. Port. Tug-of-war practice has been held frequently at Mount Richards Road for competition in the tug-of-war and dance held in the Utmvai hall on Thursday night. Miss A. Bal.chelar, of Utuwai, was_ a visitor to Aliss J. Howell at Raufai lor the first annual dance of the Pohangina Basketball Club held at Raumai lasi ""Mrs. A. Port, of Mount Richards Road, is at present holidaying at Rongotea. Colds have been very prevalent m the district of late, particularly amongst children. For this reason the school attendance has been greatly depleted. The school holidays which commence shortly will prove beneficial to the little sufterers,
