Miss Martensen's Services Eulogised

PRESENTATION AT TECHNICAL SCHOOL Last evening after classes, members of the Palmerston North Technical School staff assembled to do honour to Miss Martensen who, in view of her approaching marriage, severs her connection with the school to-day after having held the position of registrar for over nine years. After Messrs A. J. Newman and H. W. Kerr, also Miss Joan Young had referred to Miss Martensen’s many sterling qualities, Mr. G. G. Haneox, director of tho school, on behalf of the staff made her a presentation of a clock, at the same time paying tribute to Miss Martensen’a work both as regards efficiency and her interest in the sports activities of the school. Miss Martensen made suitable Teply and was accorded musical honours. Dainty supper was provided by the ladies' to whofa a' vote of thinks was proposed by Mr. J. Raleigh,
