Mt. Everest Expedition to be Recalled

PARTY RETREATING IN GOOD ORDER. United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, Juno 23. Tho Daily Telegraph announces that the Mt. Everest Committee has decided to recall the expedition. No doubt, the expedition is anxious to go on, but the Committee feels that it is not justified in allowing it,- in view of the. enormous strain which the men have undergone in the last eight weeks, the danger of avalanches, the difficulty of keeping the porters together during the weeks of waiting, and the fear of high winds. The snowdrifts alone would suffice to prevent climbing after the monsoon. There is no blinking at the fact that the party has failed to roach its objective; but it is retreating in good order.
