Notes of the Day
The death occurred in the Parmerston North hospital yesterday morning of Mr. Edward Pilcher; a pioneer resident of the Feilding district. The late Mr. Pilcher was born in Wellington in 1852 and came to Feilding 51 years ago to take up land at Makino, where he resided until his death. His passing will be regretted by the settlers of the district he knew so well and much sympathy will go out to his bereaved widow, three sons and seven daughters.
