Fair and Cold Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. The northern cyclone has moved away eastward and an anti-cyclone covers the Central Tasman and South Island but is losing intensity. A slight depression is passing in the south. Winds: Light to moderate but fresh to strong in parts of tho northern and far southern districts; south to southeast prevailing north of Westport and Kaikoura, westerlies in the south. Seas (New Zealand waters): Considerable south-easterly swell on the east coast, otherwise smooth and moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Moderate southerlies and moderate seas in the northern, variable westerlies predominating; smooth to moderate seas in the southern. Weather: Fair to fine in most districts; cloudy on the East Coast south of East Cape; drizzling rain and fog in places; showers in the far south. Temperatures cold with mnny frosts.
