Fine and Frosty WELLINGTON, Last Night. An intenso anti-cyclone has moved slowly on to New Zealand, the centre to-day being over Otago. The pressure is relatively low to the northeast and east of the Dominion. Winds: Strong but decreasing southerly north of Farewell Spit and Kaikoura; elsewhere light to moderate and variable. Seas (N.Z. waters): Heavy between Cape Campbell and East Cape, rough elsewhere north of Farewell Spit and Kaikoura; elsewhere smooth to moderate. Eastern Tasman: Moderate to fresh south-east winds in the northern portion; light and variable in the south ern; seas smooth to moderate. Weather: Still squally and showery between Kaikoura, East Capo and the Cook 'Strait area, but improving; elsewhere fair to fine. Temperatures cold with some severe frosts.
