Charming Living-Sleeping Rooms
It seams well worth, many a mother’s While to give her grown-up daughter a room of her own. It is very easy to turn a bedroom into a charming livingsleeping room If one sets about it in a sensible way. The bed itself can either be a divan—useful and decorative —or a wooden-backed bed-settee, or if preferred, can frankly be left as a bed, prettily covered and either placed in the open or partly hidden in an alcove where curtains may conceal it by day. If this latter arrangement sounds “stuffy,” the use of French castors enables the bed t,o be adjusted to any position at night time with complete ease. Fitments for all toilet things from the washstand, whether with water laid on or not, down to the wardrobe, are desirable. The design of these can be adjusted' to almost any purse, and if well planned gives a maximum of space and comfort with a minimum effect of crowding, quite apart from disguising any too evidont bedroom effects. Bookshelves can be introduced into the same fittings, or be arranged separately, and chairs, table and desk placed as needed. Ga 3 fires solve all heating problems.
