Pastor J. Crawford, cx-President of the Church of Christ for New Zealand, and minister of St. Alban’s, Christchurch, was a visitor to Palmerston North yesterday being the guest of Mr. and Mrs. H. Grinstcad. Mr. Crawford was formerly a resident of Palmerston North and began his pulpit career in this city. Mr. and Mrs. T. S. Madge and Mr. Mr. and Mrs. L. G. Madge leave Palmerston North’ to-day for a six months’ visit to England. They will travel Home via Australia and Suez, returning later through Canada and the United States. The visit is partly of a holiday nature, and the travellers intend to visit Messrs. Madge brothers’ aged mother, who resides in the Old Country. In addition, it is their intention to make an extensive study of the latest developments in transport services in the countries visited during their trip. The president of the Palmerston North Rotary Club, Mr. W. G. Black, has received advice that Eotarian Prank Milner, well-known as principal of the Waitaki Boys’ High School, has been invited to deliver one of the principal addresses at the International Convention of Rotary Clubs at Boston, U.S.A., in Juno next. Mr. Milner’s subject will be "The New World Order Prom the Standpoint of Rotary.-’ The Education Department has agreed to allow Mr. Milner to attend the Convention, and his speech will be broadcast over the whole of America.
