An accident -occurred yesterday afternoon at the intersection of the Ash* ihurst-Feilding road and the main approach into Bunnythorpe. A car proceeding along the former road came into collision with a car driven by Miss Schcidt, of Bunnythorpe. However, as both vehicles were travelling at a moderate pace, little damage was done, and none of tho occupants sustained injuries. Shortly afterwards, thero was nearly another mishap at tho same spot. A motorist proceeding from Feilding gave the signal f-or crossing the railway line towards Palmerston North. The New Plymouth express was just approaching the crossing, and it was only tho frantic warnings of some spectators that caused the motorist to pull up, so averting what might -have proved a serious accident.
