VILLAGERS SHOT DURING SEARCH CALCUTTA, March .10. Two Mohammedan villagers were shot dead by a military patrol searching near Chittagong for terrorist nbseonders. The scene of (lie shooting is a. notorious area. The victims wore behaving suspiciously and failed to halt when challenged.
French Police Chief Killed CALCUTTA, March 10. M. Quin, French. Commissioner of I’oiico at Chandcrnagorc, the French colony in Bongal, died this morning from bullet wounds inflicted, by Terrorists who attacked him after escaping from a house where he attempted to arrest them.
M. Quin was unarmed and pluckily tackled his opponents, who shot him point blank. Tlioy also wounded an Indian constable and an Indian passerby.
