BUSINESS AT FEILDING The fortnightly sitting of the Feilding Magistrate's Court was held yesterday, Mr. B. M. Watson, S.M., presiding. Overloaded Lorry A charge of overloading his motor lorry was admitted by Kenneth McKenzie, who told the Court that he was under the impression that with a sixwheel truck he was entitled to carry a load in excess of that stipulated on the license, Mr. W. Berry, Traffic Inspector, pointed out that this only applied w>here highways were definitely classified. A fine of £2 10/- and costs 10/- was imposed. White Line Cases On information charging them with failing to keep'to the left of the centre white line on the Manawatu Gorge road, the following were dealt with:—B. L. Lazarus, fined £2 and IS/- costs; T. M. J. Bedding and Clarence L. Neilson, each fined 30/- and costs 18/-. Off-side Traffic Buie Arising out of a motor collision at the intersection of Aorangi and Gladstone streets on December 31, James Proctor was fined 30/- and costs 15/for failing to give way to traffic approaching on the right. In connection with a like charge against Wilson Hopping who was dealt with similarly, the circumstances had to do with an accident which occurred at the intersection of Kimbolton road and Warwick street on December 15 last. Other Cases Edward Guy Hooke was sentenced to two months’ imprisonment for failing to comply with the terms of a maintenance order in favour of his children; to be released on payment of £lO from the arrears (totalling £SS 10/-) owing. Edward Thomas Peterson was fined 20/- and costs. .10/- for carrying a passenger on a motor cycle in a position contrary to that laid down in the motor regulations. A fine of 20/- and costs 10/- was imposed on Lionel Calvert for driving a motor vehicle without taking out a driver's license. A fine of 10/- and costs 10/- was ( imposed on W. Naylor for riding a (bicycle at night without a light, j For permitting stock to wander, B. J. Culling was fined 30/- and costs 10/-. Judgment Summons C. F. Stevens was ordered to pay W. Eayworth and Co. Ltd., the sum of £0 13/6, in instalments of £1 per month, in. default ten dans ’- inmrisoiunaaA. '
