Humid and Wet* Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. An irregular depression still covers New Zealand and the eastern Tasman Sea, but the pressure has risen considerably in south-eastern Australia. Winds: Moderate to strong northerly backing to southerly to-night in the far south, and southerlies extending over the Dominion within the next 24 to 36 hours.

Seas (N.Z. waters’): Rough in Cook Strait area, elsewhere moderate to rather rough. Eastern Tasman Sea: Moderate to strong northerly winds, backing later to southerly; seas rough. Weather: Dull, sultry and humid, with fairly general rain and a tendency for thunderstorms in places.
