Q Q L\ d»Si <&> v so seldom have time” says Pamela from P.D.Co To be perfectly truthful I wasn’t sure just, what to tell you a,bout this week—up ’til now I’ve always talked to girls like myself who find so little time to shop, and never a moment to search for the bargains that our best friend always seems to find so easily. And then I thought of all the hundreds of mothers who are busily engaged—with not a minute to think of their own needs—in outfitting the bairns who are to wander back to school this week, and decided to nose around and find a few extra special specials for home wear. I think that a little help in that direction would be appreciated—you agree ? m m. m m 5* And really when I looked round I was amazed to find how inexpensively one can dress in the house, and look so gay at the same time. A long sleeved smock like the one I’ve drawn for you is only 3/11— would you believe it? You wouldn’t be bothered buying the material and making it up for that price, would you ? There’s a red that I would like myself, but there’s a pretty rose shade too and several nice brown tones. A printed cotton overall is both useful and serviceable and I was charmed with a pretty one which is but 1/9—it’s so dainty with its little ties at each side. You can never appreciate the usefulness of a rubber apron until you own one—and at 1/- who would be without one? They wear so wonderfully and only have to be wiped over with a wet cloth to look like new again. There are lots of pretty colours in these and some’ have contrasting floral designs all over them. In the Underwear Department I noticed a most marvellous bargain—woven cotton bloomers for 1/- pair! And ever so durable fine poplin ones are only 1/6! The latter can be had in all lingerie shades and they really WILL WEAR! W. and O.S. sizes. One can never stop learning—l never knew that it was possible to procure an art. silk stocking that wouldn’t ladder, but the secret of this one is the lisle lining ana the pnce . is-guess 1/6! And did you know that you can buy hos efor 10|d a pair? Well you can! They’re cotton—very nice shades—and are splendid for housework or gardening. r/fi. m Floral prints and cottons make the most adorable afternoon frocks for ie house, and what could be more economical? We have a lovely range o elightful patterns from 7Ad yard. And every one guaranteed fast colour, hey’re just right for street wear too, and we’ve just the hats to go wi iem fine or coarse straws in the nattiest of new shapes, and so reasonable. ake a peep at the ones I’ve sketched at 4/11 and 7/6— they’re only three f many styles and a charming assortment of fashionable shades. ! V fess Item Chiffon lisle hose—we’ve never had anything like them before and may not ever again. Dainty lace clox, wonderful fitting, lovely shades—they’re worth every bit of 3/11, but as a very special bargain —1/11!
