8.1.P.'s Successor To “ Maid Of The Mountains”
Advice has been received from Arthur Dent, of British International Pictures, that, following tfie success of the screen adaptation ot "The Maid of the Mountains,” 8.1. P. has purchased the screen rights of "The Southern Maid.”
The entire "Maid of the Mountains” cast will he kept intact for "The Southern Maid,” and Lupino Lane will again hold the directorial reins. The Australian actress, Nancy Brown, will he 11 The Southern Maid,” and her presence alone sets much value on the picture, hut with such favourites as Harry Welchman, Betty Stockfield, Gus McNaughton and Albert Burdon included in tho cast, it is expected to turn out a wortthy successor to "The Maid.”
