Second Pearl While Is Wanted
UNIVERSAL CONDUCTS SEARCH FOR NEW SERIAL QUEEN.
A nation-wide contest for the purpose of selecting a second Pearl White to star in Universal’s contemplated rcmako of "The Perils of Pauline,” probably the best-known movie serial ever 'produced, will soon be under way, according to an announcement made by Carl Laemmle, Jun.
Exhibitors throughout the United States will be called upon by Laemmle to aid in the search for a girl who, in addition to talent and beauty, must have plenty of courage and- daring. Pearl White, who has been living in retirement in Paris for several years, is due in the United States soon, and it is hoped, will act as one of the judges of the contest.
