Takapuna Meeting Concludes PRINCIPAL HANDICAP TO EAGER ROSE BROKEN RULE'S PLATE Per Press Association AUCKLAND, Last Night. The Takapuna Jockey Club's summer meeting concluded to-day in line weather. There was a good attendance. The track was fast. The totalisator investments for the day amounted to £22,800 15s as compared with £21,535 for the second day last year, an increase of £1331 15s. The total for the meeting was £43,229 15s as compared with £51,011 15s, the decrease being £8382. To-day was Anniversary Day which, last year, fell on tho first day. Eager Rose led Ga.y Idea and Merry Damon past the stand and was well clear of Gay Idea and Jalldy Haro across tho top. Eager Rose still had command at tho home turn from Jalldy Karo and Gay Idea, winning comfortably. Merry Damon took second from Jalldy Karo and Gay Idea was fourth.
