Mr. A. ■R. Taylor, of Feildiug, has been appointed ranger under the Animals Protection and Game Act for tho Feilding acclimatisation district. A total of 4255 lambs were put through the Aorangi freezing works on Friday, breaking the record of 4240 put through in one day a couple of seasons ago. Mr. N. H. Rankin has been appointed assistant relieving teacher at the Manchester Street School.
