Farmer Washed Of Rocks While Fishing

CARRIED OUT TO SEA AND DROWNED Per Press Association AUCKLAND, Last Night. Another drowning accident occurred on the West Coast early this afternoon, when Patrick Norton, aged 28, a farmer, of Waimauku, while fishing off the rocks at Motutara, was washed off and drowned. Norton, a man named Daniolls, and another companion, were fishing off tho rocks at mid-day when a breaker came in and carried all three out. They wero soon struggling in a strong undertow. Daniells and the other man managed to fight their way back in an exhausted condition, but Norton was washed out to sea and drowned.
