Messrs. Abraham & Williams, Ltd., report: — Our sale held on Tuesday indicates a slight easing in values for most tines. Competition throughout was good, but in sympathy with recent overseas markets the rising values at our last sale were not maintained. Wool: Met with a good demand at prices slightly lower than our last sale. Sheepskins: Competition was of tho best, particularly for iiuo sorts which held their own, but others were id lower. Salted skins were firm. Hides: All hides cased in value up to id per lb., but calfskins were appreciably higher by id to Id per pound. The demand was good for both classes. Tallow: There was good general competition with an casing tendency of 6d per cwt. The following is the range of prices:— Wool: Fine Xbrcd, 5d to s'(d; mod. Xbred, to 3,id; Xbrcd, 2d to 24d; dead, to 1 sd; erts., lid to li|d; bis. and pcs., Id to 14d. Sheepskins: Dry: Fine ligts., to 3ifd; ligts., 3d to old; line Xbrcd, old to -Id; three-quarter to full wools, 2:)d to 24d; quarter to half wools, 2d to 2:ld; shorts, ltd to Fid; pelts, to IJd; lambs, to 3-id; dead, lid to IJU; seedy, lid to 2:id; damaged, lid to 2d; inferior damaged, Id to lid. Salted: Pelts, 5d to Gd; damaged pelts, 3d to 4d. Hides: Ox, heavy, to 4d; ox, medium, to 4 3-8 d; ox, light, 3 7-Sd to 4d; cow, heavy, 3Jd to 4d; cow, medium, 3Jd to 4 1-Sd; cow, light, 3 7-Sd to 4 1-Sd; yearlings, old to s}d; yearlings, cut, 2d to old; calf, heavy, old to 6;|d; calf, light, Ist., 5d to 5Jd; calf, light cut, -Id to 4 3-Sd; calf, light slippy, 3d to 3ifd. Tallow: In drums, Ist., 12s to 13s; in drums, 2nd., 9s to 11s Gd; in tins, 7s Gd to 11s.
