London Match Seller
GIFT OF AUSTRALIAN LAMB “BLIND GRANNY” TRACED LONDON, Dec. 12. A lamb addressed to an 89-year-old match seller, known as “Jannd Granny of Kingsway,” by R. J. Gilbertson, of Essendon (Victoria), appeared to be unlikely to reach the consignee, who recently left her stand outside the post office near Australia House. Her residence was unknown, but inquiries resulted in the discovery of “Granny,” who is Mrs. Davidson, now bedridden at her birthplace at Southend, where 20 relatives, including grandchildren, are living. Mrs. Davidson will receive the lamb shortly. Tho presentation card was addressed, “To a great old lady,” and adds: “May your great love of God keep you happy and well these trying days. ’ ’
