WOMAN OF 108 GOES ALOFT.

The distinction of taking aloft the oldest, known woman in the world to make a flight belongs to (Sir Charles Kingsfprd Smith. His passenger was Mrs. Scarffe, aged 108, and the flight was mado at Traralgon, Victoria, recently. Mr. Wilfrid Kingsford Smith, brother of the famous airman, told a Post representative yesterday that when Mrs. Scarffe alighted from the machine after the flight she turned to L Sir Charles and said, “The next time you fly to dear old London town 1 will be with you.”
