From Our Own Correspondent. A very pleasant timo was spent by all present at the weekly flag 500 tournament on Tuesday ovening. About to tables wero played at, the winners being Miss Mathcson and Messrs. M. Richardson and W. Lewis, and the consolation prizes wont to Mrs. Hcarsey, Miss Morley and Mr. V. Rankin. A dainty supper was served by the ladies after which a short dance followed. Mr. M. Richardson has very kindly offered to donate the prizes- for next week's tournament. , On Monday last Miss Mathcson returned home from a ten months’ holiday spent in Samoa as the guest of Mr. and Mrs. A. McKenzie. Mr. and Mrs. McKenzie accompanied Miss Mathcson back to New Zealand and are now the guests of the Misses Mathcson, A painful accident befel Mr. V. Rodgers on Monday while milking. A cowkicked him, broaking three small bones in his hand. His many friends will wish him a speedy recovery. The annual breaking-up ana puzo giving ceremony took place at the school on Friday afternoon. The weather was perfect and there was a large attendance of parents and friends who spent a.most enjoyable afternoon. Richardson/ chairman of the school committee, spoke a few 'words to tho children and presented the prizes.
