AGAINST PARKING RESTRICTIONS AT CHRISTMAS The business people in the Square are at present expressing strong indignation at the proposal of the Palmerston North City Council to stop motor traffic from entering tho heart of the city on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. It is understood that a petition is to be presented to the city' fathers expressing disapproval of tho scheme. In conversation with a Times' representative yesterday a well-known business identity stated that after the various houses had suffered from a bad year of depression, it was highly absurd to introduce any measures that might, keep people from the city on such an occasion.
