Artificial Silk Yarns From New Zealand Flax

Arrangements have been completed for working demonstrations of Dr. Brown’s processes for the production of artificial silk yarns and transparent cellulose sheets from Phormium Tenax (New Zealand flax) to be given at the Royal Show. These demonstrations will be continuous throughout the tenure of the show. A great deal of interest has been awakened throughout New Zealand by Dr. Brown’s discoveries and Royal Show visitors will have the opportunity of seeing these processes in actual operation. The exhibit has been arranged by the Provincial Flax Growers’ and Miners’ Association, Limited, of Chancery Chambers, O’Connell street, Auckland, who are the sole owners of the rights to these processes.
