ROBBERY CHARGE AS SEQUEL

AUCKLAND, Oct. 31,

Two Chinese gardeners, Wong Yet, aged 38, and Wong Choe, aged 31, were committed for trial to-day on a charge tlmt, being armed with, an offensive weapon, a knife, they robbed Chong Gin of £3l 10/.

Chong Gin said he was banker at a fan tan game when Wong Choc grabbed the money from the table, and Wong Yot, with a knife upraised, told the others in the room not to interfere. They were all frightened and did not attempt to follow the accused. The accused reserved their defence, bail being renewed.
