The death, occurred at her residence in Camden street, Feilding, on Sunday night of Miss E.- Allen, a prominent member of the Feilding Baptist Church.

Miss E. Monckton, -who has been visiting her sister, Miss Nora Moncßton, Bussell street, has returned to Napier.

Despite the wet weather, the street stall held on Saturday in aid of the Central School transacted good business. There were a number of competitions conducted and these resulted as follow:—Bag of flour, Mrs. Evans; cake, Mrs. Croucher. Tho adults’ sponge competition was won by Mrs. Baker, of Bainesse, and that for the children by Pat. Ryder. There were very good entries, which were judged by Mrs. W. J. Croucher.
