Loyal Manawatu Lodge
The usual fortnightly meeting of Loyal Mamiwatu Lodge was held last week, N.G. Bro. Bradley presiding over a good attendance of members. A challenge received from Court Hiueinoa for tho Bowls Shield was accepted, and an invitation from Loyal Wanganui Lodge to attend a ritual contest with Loyal Victoria Lodge was also accepted. A vote of condolence was pas'sed in the usual way to P.D.G.M. Bro. Sharman and to P.G. Bro. J. Sharman in their recent bereavement. The arrangements for the trip to Wellington were finalised. Tho hospital visitors’ report was received with thanks. Final arrangements were made for the anniversary dance to be held to-morrow. The' delegates to the. Friendly Societies’ Council reported regarding tho societies’ picnic. It was announced that the council had decided to hold tho picnic near the city. Bro. Kearns was Successful in gaining Sister Booth’s medal for ritual work. First nominations for office for the ensuing six months were taken.
