“That the Government be commended for tho courageous way they are leading the country through the most unsettled and difficult period,” was a remit received from the Norsewood Launch of the Southern Hawke's Bay Farmers ’ Union at tho monthly meeting of the Provincial Executive on Thursday. The president (Mr. J. Livingston): Wo are not in a position to deal with politics in a direct manner. Mr. W. Jenkins said tho remit, was tho feeling of the Norsewood branch, which considered that the Government wero deserving of some measure of appreciation. Tho president suggested that as the union was lighting tho Government on many points it would be better to let tho Dominion executive deal with the remit. Mr. F. A. Thompson moved that the remit bo forwarded to the Dominion executive for their approval. This was seconded by Mr. W. Jenkins and carried.
