Feilding Boxing Club

ANNUAL MEETING.

At the fifth annual meeting of the .Feilding Amateur Boxing Club Mr. W. W. Andrews presided over Messrs H. Frecklington, 11. V. Hubbard, M. Hausmann, P. D. Hall, H. Firth, R. Hirst, G. Diify, J. H. Toye and G. Walker. The report and balance sheet were read and adopted. The meeting then adjourned pending tho receipt of information from the trustees of the gymnasium with regard to the termination of the lease of the building. Tho annual report recorded the holding of three tournaments which woro moderately well supported by- the public. There had been a decrease in honorary membership and a loss of rent during the season. Tho balance sheet showed an excess of liabilities over the bank balance, of £5 ss. There remained, however, a certain amount of equipment. The president, Mr. E. E. Short, and Mr. D. C. Culliuanp, had resigned. The •thanks of the club were duo to them for services rendered in the past. Members of the club deeply regretted the death of Mr. J. Stalker. Thanks were due to those who had assisted the club in any way and especially the hon. surgeons, Drs. Phillips, Cameron and Salmond. During the season a dance was organised to assist tho club and the club’s thanks were due to the members of tho dance committee and other helpers for this assistance.
