Changeable and Wet Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. The edge of the high pressure is crossing New Zealand to-day, but another rather intense depression is moving over the Tasman Sea. Winds: Westerly moderate to strong and squally at times backing to southwesterly after from 21 to 36 hours. Seas (New Zealand waters): Rough on the west coast and about Cook and Fovcaux Straits; elsewhere moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Strong northwest to west winds backing later to south-west; seas rough to heavy. Weather: Mainly fair at first in the eastern provinces but changeable generally with rain at times in the western and far southern districts.
