From Our Own Correspondent. The annual meeting of the Eongotca boxing school was held on iMonuay cvcniug when there was a large uttendanee of members and intending incutbora. The secretary, Mr. A. E. Eadcs, read his annual report relating to the successful year the school had had. One tournament only was held in Rongocca where the local”boys held their own remarkably well. The balance sheet, which was then adopted, showed a small credit balance. Mr. Albert Buigess (president) congratulated the boys on the.ir services in past years anti stated that Mr. Bert O’Keefe, of Palmerston North, had been approached in regard to instructing, and he was only too glad to come out and do his best, providing the boys rolled up regularly. The election of officers resulted: Patron, Mr. J. F. McKclvic; president, Mr. Albert Burgess (re-elected); secretary, Air. A. E. Eadcs (re-elected); treasurer, Mr. A. Trenkner; committee, Messrs 1,. Poupard, A. N. Morcom, N. H. Knight, Tv. Will with power to add; gymnasium captain, Mr. R. Gust. The ciub captain is to be elected by the boys later. Mr. and Airs. J. C. Glover, Miss R. Glover and Miss E. Noel, who have been touring the northern districts by car, have returned to Rungotca.
