Y.M.C.A. CLUB’S ANNUAL MEETING. Tlio annual meeting of the Y.M.C.A. Rugby Football Club -svas bold on Friday when Mr. C. Woods presided over ail excellent attendance of members. The annual report (previously published) and balance sheet were read and adopted, the chairman commenting that it was satisfactory to learn that the club had wiped off the debit balance with which it had commenced the season and had emerged with a small credit. The election of officers for the ensuing season resulted: President, Mr, J. Wallace; vice-presidents, Messrs J. A. Grant, J. Sclwyn and A. Clark; committeo members, Messrs C. Rumble and A. Tillick; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr. G. Griggs; delegates to Manawatu Rugby Council, Messrs G. Griggs and A. Tillick. The appointment or captain and vice-captain was left to the team, the selected officers to act also on the general committee. The selection committee will be composed ot tho coach (to bo appointed), the team captain and the secretary.

Somo considerable discussion surrounded the subject as to whether the club would continue to participate in tho third grade competition or advance to junior grade, it being finally decided to enter a team in the higher grade. Tho subscription was fixed at 4s 6d, plus 2s 6d registration fee, while it was decided not to apply for a practice night at tho Rugby Council’s gymnasium, but to use the Y.M.C.A. gymnasium.
