Fair and Cold Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. An anti-cyclone is still advancing slowly across the South Tasman Sea, but tho barometers have not risen to tho northwards. Winds: South-west to south-east still strong about and north of Cook Strait but decreasing gradually; moderate over tho Soutli Island. Seas (New Zealand waters): Rather rough to rough north of Fare-well Spit and between Kaikoura and tho East Cape. A considerable southerly swell also south of Kaikoura, elsewhere moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Moderate to fresh southerly winds and heavy hut decreasing southerly swell. Weather: Fair to fine in most districts but still somo showers in the eastern districts between Cape Palliser and the East Cape. Temperatures cold with some inland frosts.
