Sergeant Cahill informed tlie court that accused was “a bird of passage” who had been in New Zealand about seven years. On Tuesday last, he entered a whare at Kimbolton and took the suit of clothes. ' Suspicion fell on accused who had been seen about the district and he was arrested near Colyton by Constable Ruddle.
