Occasionally, during tho summer, the eiderdown should bo taken out and hung in the sun for a few hours.

Pickles should be boiled in enamel pans. Always uso a wooden spoon when stirring. Nor should pickles be put in or stored in glazed jars on account of tho effect of tho acid on tho glaze. Glass bottles are best for storing them.
