GOODWILL SHIP. A FARMER’S SUGGESTION. At a. meeting of the executive committee of the Southern Hawke’s Bay branch of the Farmers’ Union it was suggested by Mr. A. E. Dickens that the Government might hire one of the many idle ships and equip it as a Routing college, laden with Dominion products. A number of lads at the age of leaving school could be taken aboard to further their educational studies and the ship taken abroad with a view to opening new markets for New Zealand produce. Tho trip would be of excellent educational value to the lads and would assist in dealing with tho problem of finding employment for boys leaving school. It was decided to submit the suggestion to the next meeting of tho Dominion executive of tho Farmers' Union.
