DRASTIC ACTION TAKEN. San Francisco Press Broadcast. WASHINGTON, Jan. 21. Drastic revision of the Federal Deserve and National Bank laws relating te stock market speculation, foreign lending and branch banking, the liquidation of closed banks and a host of other subjects was provided in a Bit) introduced to-night by Senator Carter Glass, Democrat, of Virginia. This measure was unanimously agreed upon by a Senate Banking Sub-Commit-tee after hearings and deliberations extending over a year. It is expected to bring about the first great overhauling of the Federal Reserve Act since its enactment.
