MONTHLY CIRCULAR
The Cheltenham Co-operatipe Dairy Company's monthly circular states: In common with other butter factories is this district, our production shows a decline to date as compared with last season. Although it appears now that we shall not be able to make up the leeway, it will bo remembered that last season was a particularly good one from a production point of view in this district. The corresponding iigures lor the last four seasons arc of interest. They are as follow: December, 192 S 255 tons, 1929 310 tons, 1930 331 tons, 1931 311 tons; sis months ended December, 1928 1128 tons, 1929 1150 tons, 1930 Iggo ions, 1931 1185 tons. From these | ligures it will be seen that the production in this district is slightly ahead lof the 1929 season, and well ahead of tho 1928 season. In view of the gen'cral unsettled world conditions, and ’also of the present unhealthy state of the butter market, in particular, the directors have decided, that if would bo unwise to advance more than 9d. per lb. for butter-fat at. this juncture.
"A general desire was expressed at the annual meeting that another field day should be held this year, and the directors have arranged for this event to bo held in March. The actual date will be advised in the next monthly circular.''
