Dean as “Old Gaol Bird,”

The Dean of Westminster, Dr. Foxley Norris, startled a meeting of the London Police Court Mission a few weeks ago by stating that he was an old gaol bird. Dr. Norris explained that lie had been charged before a police court magistrate aud been put, in a cell. “But that was not in this country,” he added. “It was in a far off corner of Northern Italy, and I had been arrested as an Austrian naval spy.”
