A Cobar message says that tlie bush fires are now completely out of control and are only 18 miles from the town. Weary and despairing settlers, after days of dour lighting, have given up bopo and are returning to the township. Only a deluge can jsave the situation. Otherwise an area of over 150 square miles will be laid waste. tend over January 7, S and 9, and singles, doubles and mixed doubles wilt be played. On January 10 the team wilt leave for Timaru and play there on January 11, leaving for Invercargill on January 12, and playing there on January Id. The team is” then to play in Dunedin on January 15 and Hi, and leave for Wellington on January IS, arriving on the following day. It then leaves Wellington for Auckland on January 20, and will meet a New Zealand team on January 23 and 25, and play in the New Zealand championships from January 26 to 30, leaving Auckland for a visit to Rotorua on February 1 or 2. The team will play in Hamilton on February 9. An offer has been made to the Wellington Association for tho team to play there on February 12 and 13, bur. so far nothing definite has been arranged. The team will finish the tour at Masterton, and will leave on the return trip to Australia on February 19,
