WERRY—FOSTER. Many friends wero present at tho Lyttelton Methodist Church recently on the occasion of the marriago of Nancy Victoria, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Foster, of Lyttelton, to Eric John Wingent, elder son of Mrs. E L. Worry and tho late Mr. Thomas Worry, of Christchurch. Tho Rev. C. Blair performed tho ceremony, and Mr. K. Williams was organist. Tho church was decorated for the occasion by friends of the bride, and the service was choral. Tho bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a charmingly simple gown of ivory pink crepe channeuse, with tight-fitting bodice and full flared skirt falling in graceful folds to tho ground. Her cream veil was embroidered in pink and was caught to the head with clusters of orange blossom, and she earned an armlet of regal lilies and pink carnations. Attending the bride were two maids, Miss Freda Foster, sister of the bride, as chief bridesmaid, and Miss Louise Dcarsley. Both wore frocks of floral georgette made with tight-lilting bodices flared at the hip line; fully flared skirts to the ankles and waistlength coatees. Miss Freda Foster’s frock was turquoise blue with tones of yellow, and Miss Dearslcy’s was Nile green. Each attendant woro a felt hat and satin shoes to tone, and carried an armict in harmonising colours. A tiny cou-

sin of the bride, Mae Chapman, acted as flower girl in a dainty frock of primrose taffeta with touches of blue and Master Harry Evison, nephew of the bride, accompanied her as page. Mr. Monty Watkins was best man, and Mr. E. Simmonds was groomsman. The reception was held at the Excelsior hall, Mrs. W. T. Foster receiving the guests in a handsome frock of embossed georgette in wine shade, with black hat, and carrying a bouquet of dark red and cream carnations and maidenhair fern. Mrs. Worry, mother of the bridegroom, wore a frock of navy satin with navy hat to match and a black fur stole. Her bouquet was of scarlet carnations and maidenhair fern. Later in the evening, when Mr. and Mrs. Eric Worry left on their wedding tour in tho South Island, the bride was wearing a smart frock of Havana brown satin under a coat of heavy silk to match, with a stone marten fur. Mr. and Mrs. Eric Worry intend to make their home in Palmerston Noith.
