What U.S. Spends on Education
San Francisco Press Broadcast. NEW YORK, Jan. 4. For the education of the youth of America approximately 3,200,000,000 dollars was spent during the last year, according to an estimate made public by tho Federal Office of Education. Pupils in public elementary schools totalled 21,311,325 in. 1931, while those in high schools numbered 4,352,915.
